Fresh Air: web series presents curiosities and behind-the-scenes of Salvador Bahia Airport

Did you know that it takes an average of one to two years of negotiation to open a new flight? Do you know how the works take place at dawn? That the Bahian capital airport generates 250 m³ of reused water daily? That there is a team of specialists to handle animals that appear on the airport site? The Airport's behind-the-scenes operations will be revealed from September 26th on "Fresh Air", a web series produced by Salvador Bahia Airport.

The luggage's journey from the check-in counter to its final destination and the actions taken by firefighters in cases of emergency are some of the topics that will be addressed in the series. The project is hosted by journalist Patrícia Abreu and will show, in ten episodes, the curiosities of the airport's operations and the details of the modernization and expansion works to which it is being submitted.

The series will air on social networks at @salvadorbahiaairport and marks the moment of delivery of the first phase of works started by VINCI Airports, which manages the airport since 2018. The idea is to present this new phase of the airport to all Bahians and tourists in a light, relaxed and contemporary format such as a web series, which can be watched anywhere.

Under Patricia's watchful eye, it will be possible to understand how the new management of the airport works, its area division, to get to know the staff working at the terminal on a daily basis, to understand its operations and to find out what happens behind the sidings of the works.

"We chose the name ‘Fresh Air' to celebrate this moment of renovation and modernization that Salvador Bahia Airport is undergoing. We will present the news and also satisfy the passengers' curiosity about the behind the scenes of an airport," explains the Airport's CEO Julio Ribas.

The episodes will air on Thursdays on the Airport's digital platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
