The Salvador Bahia Airport inaugurates a flight to João Pessoa

The new route approaches the capital cities and encourages the economic and touristic development

The Salvador Bahia Airport inaugurates on this Friday, June 29, the exclusive flight between Salvador (Bahia State) and João Pessoa (Paraíba State). The route will be operated on a daily basis by GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, and encourages the economic and touristic growth of both capital cities of the Northeastern Brazil.

The new operation reinforces the objective of the Salvador Bahia Airport towards the expansion of the regional air travel network and generation, on a medium term basis, of positive reflexes on the development of one of the most important touristic destinations of the country. “We are investing in the best market opportunities for Salvador. The opening of new routes enables new and positive opportunities for business, propels tourism and, most importantly, generates increased comfort for passengers”, states Julio Ribas, CEO of Concessionária do Aeroporto Salvador Bahia, a company integrating the VINCI Airports Group.

The inauguration flight between Salvador and João Pessoa will leave the capital city of Bahia at 15h05min this Friday, and the passengers will be welcomed with a special Northeastern environment, plus a celebration cake and a Forró musical performance at the airport check-in.

With duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes, the route will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircrafts, with capacity to up 186 passengers. Onboard the aircraft, the passengers will be allowed to access the Internet using their mobile devices, in addition to accessing free channels with diversified content, open TV channels and movies available at the platform of the Air Carrier.
