The Salvador Bahia Airport now has a non-stop flight to Miami

This Sunday (29), LATAM Airlines is inaugurating the Salvador-Miami route, which represents the retaking of an important liaison between Bahia and North America. The first flight will take off from Miami, while the operations from the capital city of Bahia will commence on Monday (30).

For Julio Ribas, CEO at Concessionária do Aeroporto Salvador Bahia, the strategy is to continue the expansion of routes in the coming months. “The development of air traffic is one of our priorities and the LATAM flight to Miami is an important milestone for the Salvador Airport, since it expands our offer of international flights. The next route already defined to North America will be the Copa Airlines flight to Panama, to commence in July”.

The VINCI Airports Group, to which Concessionária do Aeroporto Salvador Bahia is part of, has presented significant figures regarding the air traffic in the airports it operates around the world. In the fourth quarter of 2017 the company recorded a 12.4% increase in the number of passengers when compared against 2016, based on a comparable network. The plans set by Concessionária for the Salvador Bahia Airport are aligned with the global strategy of the group, taking into consideration the high potential of development of the Bahian airport and its importance for the regional and domestic tourism.
